what carb???
i have a 48dcoe to bolt to my pinto....
pinto has a fast road cam......
should i stick with this or would twin 45's be better???

Probably not much benefit in changing it to be honest.
Unless you really want twin carbs of course...

I'll put it this way, you will gain a few bhp right at the red line with twin carbs, but you will also lose a considerable amount of fuel
economy too.
Plus if the 48 is already jetted you know its good and theres nothing more thats needed.
Single 48 or 50 side draught was common on performance pintos back in the 80's.

the 38 DGAS is reckoned to be good enough up to 150BHP so the 48 DCOE should be good for well over that.
Unless your Pinto is highly tuned the 48 should be fine as David says.
