Bolting down a RV8 inlet manifold
I have a collection of different length bolts for my inlet manifold. The Haynes SD1 manual helpfully says "The bolts are of differing length so
take note of their exact locations". I wish I'd read that before I took them out....
Does anyone know which one goes where?
Regards,
Dave

Measure the depth of the holes and locations of those holes (including the maifold), then compare the lengths to the bolts and allow a bit extra for
clearances. Then sort as appropriate.
This method has never let me down.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

is not possible to work out from the manifold?
refer to phjoto below.
the bolt in the lower left hand corner fits into a raised boss compared to the other 4 bolts alon the lwer edge - hence that wold need longer bolt.
note that if you have skimmed the heads a lot, you will have fun getting the manigold and metal sheet gasket to correctlyand seal.
