wanted - - xflow 2 2000e gearbox bell housing
as title my westfield uses this engine and gearbox set up. despite a new clutch the clutch fork rattles uncontrollably and a while ago what i believe
to be the pin that holds the far end of the clutch fork came flying out of the bell housing, so i think a whole new one is in order. so has anyone in
the bournemouth area got one spare or alternatively i'm travelling down from colchester tomorow so anyone within that run. many thanks paul

I had the fulcrum pin come out of my alloy ford bellhousing, just replaced it with a bolt and some nuts to hold it in place. I'll tryto draw
what i mean in a bit.

i thought about this and would be interested to see a picture/drawing. the only problem is thatit was vibrating like made before and the only way to
stop ity was to wind the clutch cable so tight that it was against the clutch. any ideas as to why this might be.

Only pic i have on the computer, a nut on the otherside of the bellhousing stops it pulling through.

Need to id the gearbox type 2000e gearbox means absolutely nothing it rarely means a 2000e gearbox which was a long nosed type only fitted to the
2litre V4 Corsair.
Cortina and Capri gearboxes varied tremenously over the years and the 2000e gear ratios were fitted to different casings with bellhousing and clutch
release mechanisms which can't easily be interchanged.
(1) Hydraulic or cable clutch ?
(2) Single rail or 3 rail remote
(3) Is the remote for the gear lever bolted on or built into the rear casing of the gearbox.

If you have a cable clutch just fit a bolt as already suggested --- although I would round off the head a bit.

Does it have the little rubber buffer between the cable and the clutch fork ? IIRC it's there to stop rattles
