Celica gt4 head removal.

Is it possible to remove the head of a gt4 with the engine is situ? I want to change the head gasket for a good metal one, just wondering if I have to take the engine out (again!!)?

It does look like I need the skils of a gynecologist to get at the rear bolts - as luck will have it my friend is one!

ah but is your friend also a mechanic? a friend of mine was telling me she went to the gynecologist, and while he was fiddling away down there he was telling her about how he was a rally mechanic at the weekends, and where he was the weekend before lol

edit, sorry, that doesn't help you at all

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

No, he doesn`t know much about cars, but I may just need some bolts loosening / tightening, I`ll do the rest!

Well it can on a GT, and I can't see the 4wd bits affecting the head. AFAIK the only
changes head related is the blower.

I done my sons its a right bas-ard as there are some bolts down the back that you cart see. I think they are on the support brackets for the inlet manifold. (good luck).

If he really is a gynaecologist leave the bonnet closed and get him to do it through the radiator grille!
