ecotec cylinder head work

anyone on here ever had any done?

just thinking for now, as i want to get running before doing any porting and stuff, but if anyone has, what did you do?

the exhaust ports have some obvious bits that could easily go. those lumps that stick up for the EGR system look good for grinding away...

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

General advice from different quarters appears to be some light touch polishing or to do nothing. Increasing the compression / stroking it? Or hoist the Ecotec and fit a LET lol?

it was just a thought, because there's those EGR humps in the exhaust port. would have thought getting rid of them would help gas flow.

would think it would help on the original car too.

Read something a soothsayer note a while back. I can't claim to have tried, but it seemed to be harder to improve the flow than knack it...

There might be enough room to cut the seats and fit bigger valves, though? Just a thought.

or the ports might end up too big for the valves (like a stock pinto)
