air locks
Not sure if anyone does it but Weve been having problems with the Zetec getting airlocks so have come op with the idea of using tyre valves in the
ends of pipe which we have blocked of. Works a treat and cost nowt so definitely locost

Renault use tyre valve caps as cooling system bleeds. Just the plastic cap, no valve.

just go to your local Tyre supplier they have hundred which are of no use to them or ask to keep the ones they cut off when you have new tyres fitted.
We a fitted two to a zetec on to the top of the rad and one on the top of the Stat Housing

just a jubilee clip onto the hose, the valve is slightly flared so the clip will prevent it from being forced out.Just run it up to temp and depress
the valve, a quick burst of air then water "et voilla".
Try to ensure you place them at a high point though

Good idea for bleeding on intial set up, but a properly set up expansion tank/bottle and pipework will continue to remove air from the system
