Side Repeater Position

Could some please give me some advice on side repeater postions for IVA. I have been told they now have to be mounted on the cycle wings?

Is this right as I would like to mount them on the scuttle.

I noticed that recently registered cars at Detling had two side repeaters per side.

I cant see why but they all said its now an IVA requirement.

I know thats not much help but at least you know that even the pro builders dont know a way out!

you wont pass an IVA with 2 repeaters
you can only have 1 per side

They probably had to add the 2nd one and set the other as a side marker light.

my mate has got some very small but e-marked /IVA proof or whatever side repeatersfor his westfield, he has stuck them to his cycle wings with double sided tape and then if they happen to fall off after IVA he can put the replacements on the scuttle .m.

Ok posts elsewhere on this but the rules in a nutshell are:

repeaters must be visible in the vertical plane from the rear between 5 degrees and 15 degrees and in the horizonal plane between 5 degrees and 60 degrees again from the rear.

Section 20 of the IVA manual
