clutch problem...its still slipping!!
Hi peeps, hope someone can enlighten me, problem is my clutch is still slipping after fitting paddle type system during the winter. Ime wondering if
ive got hydraulic problems? is that possible even? using wilwood master cylinder and standard lt77 slave?
The problem is worst in 3rd gear when turbo winds up....i dont think its wheel spin

Do you think the release bearing is not fully returning? or being held agenst the cover plate and therefore friction disc not being fully clamped?

Well, at the moment ime not sure, but the cover and plate were made for the job by cg motorsport and expensive!! so ime thinking ive got something
wrong, i didnt use origonal master cylinder opting for wilwood item instead, i also replaced seals in slave and wondering if ive cocked it up.
thanx

Can you get the seal's the wrong way round in the slave cylinder ?
or is the master cylinder letting the fluid return ok ?
Just a thought

I would think you will have to strip the slave to check
I don't know how you will check the return speed in the master cylinder
Its just a idea i may be wrong

Does the master cylinder return to its fully out position when the clutch pedal is released? You need a little play in the system, if the master
cylinder is not returning fully it will still be holding pressure in the system.
Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.

What tyres are you running? I bet it is wheelspin....although you think it isnt...
My duratec will *easily* spin the wheels in third if you block change down and then floor it. Infact it will do it in 4th as well...which can be
scary!
I need better tyres!
