Type 9 to K series input shaft mod

How much does the type 9 input shaft have to be shortened to fit a K series and is the diameter right for the rover spigot bearing.

I have a caterham bellhousing but have read somewhere that the input shaft still needs shortening, would have thought if caterham were going to the trouble of making one it would have been the right length...

You will need to remove a small amount - this is something I will be doing very soon - threads Ive read range from 10 - 15mm. You will need to measure up and then cut the end with an angle grinder/machine it if possible, you need need to bevel the edge to allow easy spigot entry.
Make sure there is a gap between the end of the shaft and the crank or it will pop out of gear on overrun!!!
