Calling any Megajolt experts

Thanks to your help the Luego overfuelling problem seems to be solved, ditched the Facet and Filter King and replaced them with a Fireblade fuel pump and in line filter. Took it out for a short test and it was running great but..... there was a 'hesitation 'at 5500 rpm, can't think of a better was of describing it. Wasn't a misfire, car just seemed to not want to push on anymore. Bought it back and had a look at the megajolt map (can't remember where we first got it from)and noticed two thing.
We'd got the soft rev limit set to 6000 so we upped it to 7200.
There was no advance after 4500 so we upped it 2 degrees at 5500.
Took it out again and it seemed to cure the problem (although we did notice a much smaller 'hesitation' at 4500 but it did seem to drive through that).
Are we doing the right thing or have we just lucked out.

how much advance do you have above 4.5k? if you advance it too much you risk blowing a hole in a piston.

That looks like a map for map and not tps, you using a map sensor?

I'm using a pinto so can't offer you mine unfortuanatly. I'm pretty sure that when using tps the load bins go from 0 - 100 maybe worth trying this map though.

Cheers

Thanks guys.

Not using TPS or MAP at the mo, just a 2D map to get things up and running well.

THanks Richard, will try yours tomorrow.

Little bit of a hijack , as I am getting my bits together for a Pinto'd megajolt. Could someone explain the difference between 2D and 3D - What makes the difference and I am guessing a 3D is always more desireable ?

Norfolk, I came across these when looking for megajolt bits - cant vouch for them though ...

Thanks for the help guys.

Neither of us are much good at the tuning side of things......

What is a safe upper advance limit to stick too? we want the best we can from the car, but we don't want to cause any damage!

My maximum full load advance on a 2 litre blacktop is 26 degrees which has not caused me any problems.
Is it running in the full load state if running 2d with no load input? have you set the load columns all the same?
Paul.
