Type 9 issues

Hi all, A fellow Locoster has fitted a type 9 to his crossflow. All good, I hear you say, but the propshaft only goes into the gearbox just over an inch, after that it gets very stiff. So stiff infact that is stops spinning and the car will not move. It sounds like the output shaft of the box is bent or similar. We tried the prop on my Type 9 and it slides in right up to the yoke so that's ok. Anyone had similar? looks like engine and box out this weekend to have a look.....

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Could also be the rear bearing thats allowing the output shaft to go off centre I guess

Not cheap - but maybe an easier option than sourcing another box if its confirmed to be the only fault. Personally i'd source another box though if there's a mechanical issue rather than just a seal
