Pinto Engine Removal - Bit of advice sought
Hi,
OK, Noobie question.
I may get chance to take the Pinto engine out of my MK Indy this week.
I have block and tackle from years ago, or I can borrow a crane from a mate.
In the Haynes manual it mentions "Engine Removal Brackets", but I can't find them (perhaps someone removed them, ).
Where would you recommend I connect the chains (or straps if I can source some)?
Thanks in advance.

They are removable but some people leave them on. If you look in my archive
here there are some piccies.
But be advised the pictures are quite large.

Hi,
That's a very kind offer of you, I will see how I get on. Think i'll use HT bolts into the head somewhere.
Thanks anyway.

I just use a rope around the engine mounts, gives just the right centre of gravity to get the right angle as the box comes out of the tunnel.
