this gearbox leak......

I know I've already posted about this once but i need a guide for dummies lol.

Leak from the bellhousing - I want to fix it in one hit in one weekend, therefore I plan to buy all that is required to ensure I can fix it once I've started.

Can anyone give me a list of things/seals I need - im guessing there's only a couple of possibilities (input shaft seal?).

I've looked in the haynes, but for some reason it doesnt have an exploded view of my gearbox type (N-type), so im just not certain what bits i need.

I've called one transmission specialist who quoted me £40 for full seal set but im sure that must come with 90% of stuff I dont need.

The box came from an 88 2.0 injection sierra.

if you can wait with the gearbox out, i'm sure any bearing suppliers can give you the seals you need, without selling you a whole kit. that said, if you're doing it, you might as well replace the lot

Likely to be the input shaft seal or the bell housing gasket (if removable bell housing).

I've had advice and parts from this eBay seller a couple of times - he's knowledgable, well priced and very quick on delivery.

Are you sure its gearbox oil, could be the rear crank seal.

Ignore me if this was covered previously....

That may be where I found him originally!

Either way, very good service.
