Welcome to the forum; I did see one in a Seven of some sort (perhaps a Velocity) a couple of years back, no more detail than that though I'm
afraid.

This was discussed recently... they are very tall apparently... plus have a wide bellhousing....
By my classic TVR and stick the engine in that... would make much more sence! (replacing the cast iron TR6 engine!)

A little heavy but it'd be a good engine choice for mahoosive BHP

If it is a manual I think you would be better off attaching it to a Lexus V8 and then sell off the engine etc.
In my opinion a bit chunky for a 7. Better in a Cobra or Scimitar

The guy from whom I got my SR20 had one of those engines too. They're not just huge, they're massive! The bigger power output compensates
for the weight, but I don't think there'll be any room left for you to sit in the car. Same goes for the RB26DETT, great engines but just
too big to fit in any car. You'll need room for a bigger radiator and intercooler too.

Yep quite tall and long but it's all the cast bracketry and turbo gubbins which make them both heavy and bulky. I think you'll find either
the 2JZ-GTE or the earlier 7M-GTE will be over 200kgs for the engine and gearbox.
I'll stick to my 5.7 litre all alloy LS1 V8. Which just dips under 200kgs with the huge T56 gearbox attached.

I've got that engine in my Toyota Soarer - really easy to get 400bhp+ with just a few tweaks. Rather bulky in a Seven I would have thought

A friend of mine has that engine in his kit car I"m sure it"s in a luego chassis. It is alot larger that my westfield when its next to
it...
The engine is being rebuilt at the moment and should see around the 650 bhp mark.

IIRC at one point Toyota used the 3SGTE in the Supra when racing as the Supra engine is too big and heavy causing the cars to go straight on in
bends!
3SGTE from an ST205 (Celica) or 215 (Caldina) is an easy 300hp all day every day and lots more if you want to forge the motor!
