Engine Plate needed - Desperate!

Hi All,

I was hoping to have had it now, and the guy that was making it is having a few personal issues.

Im looking for a Cologne V6 plate to be made up (or a steel bellhousing i can chop) so that i can make the engine adapter for my cosworth conversion.

Other than making another CAD file and getting one machined, does anyone have any other ideas?

Ive lost seven weeks of build time waiting now, and i want to get cracking.

Kindest Regards,
Richard.

Can't you use the CAD file you already created? If you have a dxf then Flak Monkey or andyw7de should be able to help.

p.s. hope Boggle is ok, assume that's who was doing the work initially.

p.p.s. For proof of concept you should be able to make an adaptor plate from mdf which would save experimenting with steel/aluminium.

Thanks Ian,

The original CAD file i had has corrupt so i need to redraw.

It was Boggle that was making the original plate, and i know he is taking some time out so i fully understand the reasons for not getting the plate.

That doesnt take away the fact that i still have a car to finish! - hence the need to source alternative means.

Ill have another go at measuring the bellhousing and making a CAD file then give andy or David a shout. Need to measure up when little man isnt around - he loves to play with my verniers!!!

Thanks for the tip Ian. I had forgotten that it would be possible with MDF!
I could make it out of steel box, but it wont look as pretty and the starter will be an arse to get in the right place!
