Zx9 carb problem
Got a problem!
just had my car tuned and was running nicely however after i got back i noticed a fuel leak from the carbs. I thought it was a faulty fuel line
however after much testing i noticed it coming out of the plastic at the top of the metal tube coming out of the carbs. Has anybody had any issues
like this? The tube leads into a t-piece which runs the length of the carbs - is this easy to replace?

More likely a stuck float needle valve causing one carb to flood. If all needle valves are seating properly fuel cannot get any higher than the float
bowl, other than being sucked up through the jets bu the inlet vacuum.

It seems to be leaking from the plastic bit above the metal pipe - wouldnt that be an internal leak or could it be because of over fueling? wasnt
there before the tune however could the internal parts have degraded?

Is it the black T that is leaking or the silver pipe

the ail round section is just the cast mounting with the threaded connecting rod goes through.
The plastic bit is the fuel inconnector feed, which has small 'O' rings on the end to seal into the carb body, could be just one of these
perrished, other question is have the carbs been respaced to fit, or as standard? if respaced using the orignal feed pipe could just be in one carb to
far? if you need to replace the 'O' ring will need to take the carbs off and split them to get it out.

jacko - the fuel seems to be coming from where the silver pipe goes into the plastic t - - the yellowy bit on the pic has sort of perished and has now
come off to show the silver pipe - i assume the seal is formed over the silver pipe by the rubber/plastic bit that has perished? that is all i can
think why it is leaking as no fuel is leaking above this area? can you easily replace the T bit of the carbs?
