Carb Advice
Hi all.
Could anyone tell me if ZX9R carbs would be suitable for a 2l Pinto please?
Also, what mods would I need to use them?
Thanks in advance.

yes, they'll be spot on
you'll need a manifold made, and possibly the jets re-drilled. by how much, i'm not completely sure. drilled out to about 1.8mm i think is
normal for a 2ltr pinto

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Mounting at the right angle is important and if your running a servo you will need a vacume connection on the manifold. Bogg Bothers make a nice one.

Cheers chaps
Blake, where would be a good start to get a manifold either made or bought?

I can make you one. Basic aluminium manifold will be £130 with water take-off included. Additional take-offs for vacuum are £7 each and consist of an
appropriate hosetail tapped into the header(s).
However I am away as of friday until the 23rd August - if you can wait till then I would be happy to draw you up a manifold and go from there.

Thanks for the offer dan, but a little out of my budget at the mo. I'll keep my eye out for a second-hand one.
Cheers

JB, just make your own manifold.
I have made 3 for a pintos and 2 for zetecs.
Its easy,5mm steel plate for the flange and steel pipe for the headers.
All together the 5 i have made have cost about £25
