Painting engine block?

Im rebuilding my engine & would like to paint the engine block, any advice on color, method & which paint to use would be great

Hammerite works well, I'm thinking cerise with gold lamay detailing.
I now wait with interest to see if anyone has done this!!!

2-3 layers of hammerite will do! pick a colour thats contrasting to the car!





I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

I was concidering blue (i have a spare couple of blue high temp paint cans,
However im thinking it'll be a pain to keep looking nice, so had concidered graphite gray or black.

I've always liked silver for engine blocks - just looks like clean ally. Maybe a contrasting colour for the rocker cover/s
