if you measure the ID of the outlet of the carbs (bit going to the engine), that will give you the ID of the pipe you want to use.

Make sure you bolt the plate down to something very thick so it doesnt distort under welding (mine did a little bit, but luckily not enough for it to be a problem)

the way i did it was i cut up all the pipe i needed, then clamped the the rubbers to both the carbs and the pipe, then lined up with the plate and tack welded. Dont fully weld it as you might melt the rubbers.

Remove carbs and weld it in bits, again so it doesnt distort and the carbs will still line up.

I used exhaust tube you need six sets of hands to hold everything together as you weld.
You can get the tube from CES if you have one locally.
Cheers,
Bob

I have made several of these and found it best to make a simple plywood jig to keep pipes lined up horizontally and correctly spaced.
As said bolt down securely to avoid heat distortion.

I have bike carbs on my Skoda Estelle trials car. The mistake I made was not getting the machine shop to machine a groove in the ends of the pipes for the silicone tube to locate into. You could use the original bike rubbers but still get the groove machined. Although my installation gets a lot of rough handling due to the sport I compete in I still think you need the groove. I also fitted a steadly bar (3/4" flat bar I think) at both ends between the carbs and the head (used the manifold studs as convenient locations) but my manifold stub lengths are very long for low down torque.
