no problems if jetted & balanced right, carbs are carbs at the end of the day.
What are you thinking about fitting and why?
wouldn't recommend fitting SU's or twin 40's mind

just wanted to fit more up to date carbs as the ones i`ve got need a recon, and what it costs to recon i might aswell by a working set more up to date carbs! i`ve got a set of twin 40s or they might be 38s and thought bout it but then its getting the inlet made and for what it costs i might aswell recon the set i`ve got!

Would think your cheapest and easiest option would be to buy a secondhand set of gpz carbs, must be loads about for peanuts.
Would guess ZX9 carbs would be a good starting point, but the spacings are probably different, and they would need re jetting.
