Will this fit a mt75 gearbox with xr4x4 running gear
cougar mondeo 2.5 engine v6 fully dressed breaking on eBay (end time 10-Feb-11 19:32:16 GMT)
might have to hole the sump to pass the drive-shaft through
Looking at different options to power the p100 with some thing a wee bit more modern and reliable .....and economical...if possible....
possible gas conversion for longer tows

I thought they were on a mazda bellhousing pattern....
the 2.8 and 2.9 ford V6's aren't even the same as the old essex 3.0 ones
ps - do you mean an MT75 4x4? (thats whats in that XR4x4i)

the only box that will fit the mondeo v6 is the s-type jag v6 rwd box, depending what the mt75 4x4 came from it will either be 2.0 i4 or 2.8/2.9
granada type v6 bellhousing

Wont bolt up unfortunately. As above the BOA/BOB is the 'best' that will.
I'm using an adaptor plate to mount my MT75 4x4 to my Honda V6. Alternatively, if you're prepared to use the Type-9 4x4 it has a removable
bellhousing which might make things easier. Obviously the Type-9 isn't as strong as standard as the MT75, but then there are lots of aftermarket
srengthened parts available for it. The 4x4 part on the back is pretty much the same internally whether Type-9 or MT75.
P.S. I've got a Type-9 4x4 box lying around if you want it. Not exactly down the road though but maybe it could hitchhike locost style?
