Pinto valve adjuster problems

Has anyone had problems with their valves unadjusting themselves on a pinto?
I done atrackday at snetterton in November and had to readjust the rear inlet valve a couple of times during the day. I gave up in the end and have just had another look at it now getting ready for the new season, and I have found that all the inlet valve locknuts are loose!! I know I tightened them up the last time I adjusted them.
Anyone else had this or know what causes it and how to stop it.

Can I use threadlock on these?

HELP!! PLEASE!!

If the ball stud threads are loose in the head the lock nuts can vibrate loose,
Set where it should be, mark it, ren locktite down the ball stud and the lock nut, reset gaps.
The other way is to wire it, or use a dot punch and turn the edge of the lock nut

Can't say I've ever had that problem with a Pinto lump. Are you sure the locknuts are tightened properly?

Yes definately tightened them up. The exhaust adjusters are still tight? It's only on the inlet valves.

I am wondering whether I could do with some longer ball studs to get a bit more into the head, I'm thinking maybe they are a bit further out than they should be and there is not enough in the head so it's letting them move a bit causing the locknuts to loosen? Maybe?

Anyone got some longer ball studs?

I rang burton power today and asked about longer studs all they kept saying was they would alter the geometry of the followers, I kept telling them that the cam has been in there for at least 4 years. Longer studs cannot move the follower up any higher than they need to be for clearance with the cam so this should not be an issue!!
