Carb Jet Size

Just curious what others have jetted their carbs to?

Same carbs Honda Hornet CB600
My 1.6 pinto was 1.55
My 2.0L Blacktop is 1.75 (but running rubbish, hence this post)

How big is yours? Don't be shy...

Cheers

Rich

Hi Richard,
I've got Honda Blackbird carbs on my 2.0 Blacktop. Bogg Bros set the carbs up, i think they are about 1,6mm but not too sure. But can measure them tomorrow if you want.
Where did you get the Air Box from? I am looking to do something on a similar basis but don't know of anybody who makes , or sells them. It looks cool
Have you tried running without the Air Box, it might be that the mixture is too rich.

Regards Eric.

Made it myself mate, pictures in my gallery below, yep, tried it without it on at all. I'm starting to think it could be dust and sh1t in the carbs, thinking about reducing the main sizes as my chokes are smaller 36mm opposed to the 40mm others have had and are 1.6/1.7

So its a carb clean and down to 1.4 and work up.

Cheers

Rich

Choke Sizes so far are:

ZX6r 38mm 1.65mm 1800cc
ZX9r 40mm 1.7mm 2000cc
CB600r 36mm (mine) 1.75 2000cc 1.4mm is loads better but may try either 1.30 or 1.35mm as well
Blackbird 42mm 1.6mm 2000cc

Hi,

I have Bandit 1200 carbs on my 2.0Ltr Zetec, main jets are 1.5 mm gives me nice performance and 45MPG.

Sorry to steal the thread but whilst on bike carbs what would be the best ones for a 1600 Xflow?

Many thanks

Bob

I have a feeling bandit 1200 chokes will be 40mm so bear this in mind when choosing, I would say 1.65mm would be about right for that bad boy. I would try as is first though.

Cheers

Rich
