zetec thermostat housing

I just obtained a second hand thermostat housing for my silvertop zetec and from what i can make out it has an integral rubber gasket between it and the block. Am i being thick in thinking that i dont need a further gasket??

That's the only gasket you'll need for the housing to block connection.
