Removing Perforated Exhaust Tube

Hi,

I have been trying to re-pack my exhaust but when I took the end cap off, I noticed that the perforated tube has broken and needs replacing however I can't get it off the exhaust.

I thought that it would be best to heat up the exhaust to hopefully loosen it up, is this the best idea or is there a better method or removing the tube.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Andy

Last one i did i had to twist it backwards and forwards and pulled it at the same time
Eventually it came out, but it was tight (BTB Silencer)
