Mild tuning a 1300 x Flow

Now that I have a 32 DGAV coutesy of a forum member I want to mildly tune the engine to suite it. At present it is bog standard apart from the Sport exhaust manifold. What cam should I use and do I need head work as well or do I need to go as far as an Escort Sport head? Comments please?

im assisting my dad building a 1300 x flow locost, and we have used a ford GT spec cam, has a blue mark on it.

nothing else done to engine (except different carbs)

it is still relatively low compression, and this can be raised by changing the pistons i believe.

i want to supercharge it and me dad keeps adding wood bits to the car, it will look like noahs ark when its done!

IC

measure twice, cut once, scrap it, start again.
