Zetec Running Away - Help Please

Hi all

Zetec blacktop 2 litre, Weber 45, Webcon set

Running fine this morning

Now (having changed the gearbox mount) - I start the engine and it runs immediately up to the rev limiter.

Wiring is all OK.
Throttle is closed and the butterflies are closed.

No idea at all!

Supposed to be racing tomorrow - any ideas?
Thanks
Ed

The butterflies may be closed, but it's getting the air from somewhere.
As Dave Walker once wrote, "you can't send air down a wire or a fuel hose."

There may be a vacum hose off somewhere ?

If you have an adjusting screw, (like a bike one) make sure the sleeve of the accerlate cable is pushed fully home.

Cheers

Rich

Choke cable not in its correct place? (if you have a choke, that is!)

I bet the outer part of the throttle cable is caught on its adjuster just before the carbs. Has happened to me several times.
