Refitting head

Afternoon lads.

I took the head of my zx12 engine to drill out some snapped bolts from the thermostat housing and i get to put it back on tonight. Do i need to do anything special or is it a matter of making sure its clean and lay the new headgasket on and torque it up as the manual instructs?

The old gasket come off cleanly leaving very little residue behind and i found out you can re use the metal gaskets but still ordered a new one.

Any tips welcome.

Sorry about my spelling, im an engineer and only work in numbers.

Just make sure it's Uber clean and fit the new gasket. DON'T use anything too nasty to clean the mating faces. Just use some meths (if it hasn't all been drunk ) and a plastic scraper, should work fine.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness... except with clutches ans head gaskets, where it's more important!
