Prop Shaft shortening.
It looks like I may be able to shorten the prop shaft by a couple of inches or so as part fo installing the Duratec. The Pinto always looked like it
was quite a long way "forward" in the car.
Is it really worth doing this? I guess any weight moving towards the centre of the car has to be an advantage. I have a company fairly local who will
both shorten and balance the prop. I suppose a balance is not a bad thing to do anyway.
I realise the Gearstick will move back also, but that is good, as it was always a bit too far away. Will I have any other issues in doing this/

Always best to try get the engine as far back as possible. Better weight distribution.
If you do shorten the prop make sure you get it balanced.

My Luego has a shortened Sierra handbrake lever which gives plenty of clearance even when used with a remote gearlever extension .

I cut and shut mine when I did it but it was a while ago and I can't remember exactly how I did it but it only took an hour or so . Fiesta item
may be usable and may be a bit shorter?
