Less weight more speed, more power more speed

If in doubt, give it a clout

Tried Burton Power? If not in their catalogue, might be worth a call...

Why, when you said in a recent post Thanks mate will give you a shout if I need any help, I have access to a rolling road and I can map ECUs and stuff as I work for a lotus race team and we are currently having bespoke throttle bodies built, I build performance engines weekly but I have never used bike carbs before do you have to keep asking these basis questions.

Surely if you are really "building performance engines weekly" you would know the answer to this and the recent questions regarding fitting cams and lightening flywheels. If not another professional at the "lotus race team" would be able to help you without resorting to us amateurs on the internet.

To prove I am not making this up here is a link http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=178214&page=0&contribmessage=none 7th post down.

More to the point why would anyone tune a 1.8L zetec when there is a 2.0L available? ;-)

Never found the need to use bigger valves in a zetec, but we normally build forced induction engines so maybe its not so important, would be interesting to do a back to back on the dyno - stock valves verses 1mm oversize?

we ended up with 1mm oversize on our scholar race zetec, but only becuase a spark plug failure damaged one of the seats so bad it was either go up 1mm and recut or fit an insert, wasnt going to happen!
We saw about another 15bhp but the head was heavily modified and we ran custom cams so no real comparison to a standard engine.
Scholar can supply oversize valves but as has already been said, why would you bother?
