Spigot bearings.

Te spigot bearing qouted by a Ford parts place for a Zetec by Paul's it car pages is : 1554973 and costs 27 odd quid.

There are however, sierra Pinto spigot bearings for about 8 quid. Given a type 9 plugs into both they must be fairly similar - although the OD might be different.

Does anyone know whether a cheap pinto spigot bearing will work with my 1.8 zetec flywheel or do I have to go the hicost option?

I would suggest you measure both ( or at least find the external dimensions)
The internal size may well be the same for the gearbox input shaft nose but the external dims are specific to the crankshaft it fits into

There all the same , I have used sierra ones in zetecs a couple of times.Either buy from ford or from a motor factor .
