Pinto piston help
Hi all!
So I've slowly been cleaning up my pinto engine and just getting ready to put the Pistons
Back in with there new rings problem is I think I've got them muddled up from when I
Took them out of the engine.
There is 1-4 marking on the bottom of the con rods, am wondering if they simply go back
In 1-4 order from the front of the engine?
Thanks

If I strip an engine I would mark the co rods 1 -4 starting from the front of the engine but also check for arrow marks on the top of the Pistons
which face and he front as well

In theory, it doesnt matter which hole the con rods go down. However, if you have pulled the rods and are refitting using the same shells, then they
must go down the same bore provided that the shells havent moved. Asc previously stated the pistons must have the arrows facing the front of the
block. It is always nice to have some sort of order so fit the rods with the numbers in the correct order, after all, you wouldnt mix the main bearing
or rod caps.....
