MX-5 engine swap gearbox mount

Hi guys,

I am currently preparing to install a 1.8 vvt MX-5 engine in my RX-7.

As the MX-5 has a power plant frame thingy that connects the gearbox to the diff, the fabrication of the mounts looks to be a bit awkward.

How did you mount your gearbox? I have seen a swaps done on the forum, but not many pictures. Ideally I would attach something to the part where the PPF goes normally and not where the 2 threaded holes are below the shifter. It goes in a heavier can than the MX-5 and it will be turbocharged eventually as well and I'm unsure about how strong those are.

Thank a lot for your ideas and help!

Best regards
Stefan

Does the RX7 not have a PPF?

Thank you for your input!

Gladly the FC does not have one, only the FD and the RX-8.
