I have been reliably informed that the DGAS is the one to go for ! When you find a good one, let me have it !!! Its what is going on my pinto !

Either is fine.

As a broad and rough rule, below 130 hp the dgav is fine if not better as it is progressive opening and will use less fuel at cruise.

Above 130hp go for the DGAS, you'll struggle for airflow on the DGAV above this sort of level.

Ive gone for a DGAS and it has been jetted by last owner to suit an RS2000. Apparently it was used on road rallies on a std engine and made it very competitive. I may need to rejet as ive fitted a FR32 cam kit and ported head.

I was told to go for a 38DGAS. There has been a few on ebay recently for a lot less money than i paid. (ive seen at least 3 in the last 2 weeks - searched for 'PINTO'.

How much is a DGAS carb worth on its own? Still fitted with the auto choke (apparently you can get a manual choke conversion from Weber??).

Also saw this on EBay, wrong manifold I know. But do DGAS 40s exist?

BTW there is a 38DGAS on ebay ATM that I have my eye on...so no bidding against me

Cheers,
David

depends on condition.

one that works but looks rough, £20-£30. As new condition, £80 maybe.
