Exhausts

Now I have picked up a V6 for my car (Eagle SS), I have had to rethink the exhaust strategy, since OBVIOUSLY I want twin tailpipes.

A friend of mine is upgrading his Esprit V8 to a new sport exhaust so his old stock exahust is going begging. Will I have any problems using this in my car? It is designed for a much bigger and more powerful engine (3.5TT vs 2.8NA and 350bhp vs 150bhp) but it is a good quality piece of kit and it is free (or close to it).

Will it silence my engine effectively and do whatever else an exhaust needs to do?

Cheers,

Ed

One things for certain, the v8 manifolds will not fit the v6 unless i'm very much mistaken. Or where you going to use the v6 manifolds with the rest of the v8 exaust.

If you want a true performace exaust system then you will need one tailor made to your engine and chassis.

The otus exhaust is designed for a mid engined car, so I will only be using the silencer. I will connect this to the downpipes I have with SS pipes running the length of the car.

I realise this is not a perfect solution but I want to get on the road with something cheap which works before tuning.

Cheers,

Ed
