New Engine
Bought it from ebay - as you do.
Supersport spec. 1.4 K series - the one that's good for 130bhp and this one was built by Minister.
That should help the GTM go a wee bit quicker.
£201 if you don't mind

A few years ago there was a carbon fibre Lotues Elise at Brighton Speed Trials. That had a turboed 1.4 k series that was pushing out some completely
ridiculous hp. 340 springs to mind, but I can't believe it was as much as that

The 1.4 is the best K series --- the 1.8 hasn't the sparkle -- 1.4 = 104ps 1.8 = 118ps
The thing to watch with K series engine swaps is the flywheel reluctor ring is coded to both the MEMS ECU and the security system -- so has to be
swapped.

I know Elise that quite well as it was maintained at the garage I use a lot. After Turbo Technics bodged the initial setup they took it to OMEX/Mech
Repairs to sort out.
Power was actually more like 270BHP and was built for the under 1400cc class rules. The chassis was supplied by Lotus being lighter but not road
legal. The turbo was a VATN (variable geometry) titanium jobbie with ball bearings. When the engine was turned off you could hear the turbo still
spinning for ages after.
I almost bought the first engine to use in a track day Elise but as the second one wasn't particularly reliable they had to use it again.

Odd that, given the K series was originally designed as a 1.4
