Back of gearbox open to the world
I'm nearly at SVA time (just sent off my form) and I am looking over everything closely. Not SVA-related, but I am not sure if there is supposed
to be a cover of some sort on the back of the gearbox (Type 9) - at the moment you can see in the back where the lever mechanism goes. I don't
think there is any danger of leaking form the box itself, but is it likely to get road dirt in?
If a cover is needed... anyone got one going begging?

Are you refering to where a big 'core plug' should be fitted? if so, nah, don't worry about it. The Westfield extension kit relies
on this very plug being removed, without anything being put in it's place -reportedly with no ill effects...
HTH Stu.
Dont just build it.....make it!

As Stu said, you won't really need it as it isnt exposed to much being at the back of the box. I'm using a westfield type extension so
have one lying about if you want me to send it over to you if you are worried about it. Just U2U me your details.
