Crank case vent valves.
Anyone care to comment on these Krank Vents?

I understand the theory that they are working with, after all many a dry sump system can run a partial vacuum in the crank case, but these use an
active pump to achieve this. In a situation with zero ring leakage it sounds like an ideal setup. As this is impossible I would tend to think of such
things as bullshit baffles brains engineering.

I'm not an engine expert and was just curious, but I was thinking along the same lines.
Although, I've seen big V8 drag engines with a flapper valve on each header bank which are supposed to suck the crank cases clear at high revs.
They usually know their onions, but maybe it's a different scenario.

Sounds like they are utilising the good old venturi effect to create a depression in the crankcase. I don't suppose they worry much about a
little oil in the exhaust gas. I presume that as well as rebuilding the engine between runs the oil level is checked as well.

Looks like a stock crankcase breather from a car adapted for a bike...
ie recycles the crank fumes into the intake...
The turbo version works identically to that on my cossie motor...

I had one of these on my old engine. Never did a before / after dyno test but if there was a gain it was minimal. The main advantage it gave was
reduced oil breathing / consumption.
I've got one in the garage if anyone wants to make me an offer ?
