fuel pipe

I brought some fuel pipe from my local car accessory shop today.
after reading the writing on it I wonder if it's any good to me.
It has numbers and cabretta (not in english)
will this be ok for injection or do I need special pipe?

Injection pipe needs to withstand much higher pressure IIRC. When I bought my fuel pipe the bloke asked if I wanted normal or injection pipe.

maybe he thought it was for an 1000bar HDI engine???

but the normal fuel injection on cars is arround 3bars?

normal pipe does withstand this perfectly...

3 bar is 43.5 psi, a carb fuel pump only pumps at 1 - 4 psi average. I'm sure the goodyear fuel pipe he sold me is marked as 12psi max. So there must be something in his question.

yup, there is low and high pressure rubber fuel hose. The low pressure stuff is not usually fabric braided within the rubber wall, but is often braided on the outside, which can be confusing.

To be safe, it would be ok to use this pipe from the fuel tank to the fuel pump as there shouldn't be any presure. But you might want to consider using it from the fuel pump to the engine!!!

injection pipe always has cotton braid renforcment in it! Although if you get the plain fuel hose with stainless steel overbraid on it is ok because the overbraid renforces it!

Use that all the time on the rally cars, with no trouble
