Bike Carbs (Again!)

Sorry everyone...from the looks of the archive this topic has been done to death! but.....
I'm looking for a bank of carbs on ebay at the moment and I've got a mate with a TIG welder ready to make me a manifold (until I can get down to Bogg Bros) But I'm wandering what I should be looking for in carbs.....for example I now that R1 and ZX9 carbs work quite well but what about other ones? Such as Honda CB900 carbs? or R6 carbs (not sure what they are exactly - presumably just smaller than R1 carbs) If I buy these will I still be able to have them re-jetted for a pinto engine? And where can I buy jets for bike carbs big enough to run a tuned 1600 pinto?? Sorry for all the question but I'm anovice in the carb world never mind the bike carb world!....Cheers Oli.

I have Honda Blackbird Carbs on my 2.0L zetec. Sorted by Steve Bogg of Bogg Bros fame.

Steve drilled the main jets out from 150 to 180 when he tuned my car. Not sure that you can get bike jets that large anyway, so I guess drilling was the only option. The only other mod to the carbs is I enlarged the vacuum hole in the slides by 0.5mm to improve the throttle response.

call Steve he is very helpful
