Best Zetecs to fit?

What i'm after is a list of the best zetecs to fit and why, which car they are from etc, so people can have an idea of what to go for. The list will be uploaded to the MK Owners Club website.

Also reasons for not using certain engines.

If someone knows all the zetecs and could do a poll that would be great. I would but i don't know all the varients.

Many thanks

1.6 silver top
1.8 silver top
2.0 silver top
1.8 black top
2.0 black top
1.25/1.4/1.6 se (also known as a sigma)

silver tops have hydraulic tappets, black tops have solid tappets.

Phase 1 silver tops are marked DOHC 16V on the cover, phase 2 silver tops marked 16V Zetec on the cover, both phase 1 and 2 have 1 piece ally sumps.

Phase 3 engines either have an ally rocker coated black, or a black plastic cover marked 16V Zetec, and have a 2 piece Ally/Tin Sump.

Have a look Here
