Rolling Road near Edinburgh

Does anyone have any good/bad experiences of rolling roads in or around Edinburgh?

I am taking my car down to Edinburgh for a trackday later this year and need to get the car set-up and mapped properly to suit the ITBs and megasquirt.

Does not necessarily need to be Edinburgh, i will be driving down from Caithness so anything reasonably near the A9 would be handy.....Inverness, Perth etc

Any recommendations or pointers appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi
I'm not sure what RR facilities they have these days (although a phone call would find out) but Agra engineering have a good rep and have been about for long time now, based in Dundee, if coming down the A9 through Perth is not far away?

Cheers

Alex

there's

Dastek UK Ltd
Dastek House,16 Ridge Way, Hillend Industrial Estate, Dogdalgety Bay, Dunfermline, Fife KY11 9JN
Tel: 0845 3454045

know someone who's used their rolling road, seemed happy with the service they offered but I dont think he would have got them to set up the car just test it so I don't know how good they are at that side of things

That place in Dundee is very well known....is quite far from the A9 though....think it'd still be worth it...they do alot of cylinder head work in house there and re-profile cams etc....Oli.

I would contact Knockhill racing circuit and see if they could recommend anyone nearer. Dundee from perth and back will and 3/4 hr onto uour journey at least plus set up time.
Don't know about the other one in Dunfermline it's not so far out of your way but will still and at least 1/2 hr onto the trip.

East Fortune, 27th May, thats the plan anyway.

Me and a mate are planning it, looks like quite a good layout, do you know the track and more importantly have you got ant comments about the trackdays............or rolling roads?

I was talking generally when i said Edinburgh, cos thats where we will probably stay and leave the wifes shopping

I am planning my first try at sprinting at Golspie later this year, but want to get a trackday under my belt first just to try and get a bit of experience in a non competitive situation.

But like i say i would like to combine the trip to the trackday with a rolling road to try and get the ECU mapped to suit the engine and GSXR throttle bodies. Where i live there are no facilities like this for about 150 miles at least.
