Solex Carbs
Ok can anyone help me out, I'm looking into this for a mate. He's got a g-reg 1990 citroen 1.6 8 valve estate with a Solex 32-34 carb
number 61445, the float has gone and he's been told you can't get a new one....Anyone know where to get one short of scrapheaps...they
were fitted to Pug 405's aswell...Or does anyone know what the bolt pattern is...could fit a webber off a Ford maybe or something more
conventional! Cheers for any info....Oli.

I had a citroen BX with a weber 32/34 carb, the haynes manual listed a choice of weber or solex carbs I assume the manifold was interchangeable
between carbs so maybe a weber might fit but you would end up having to rejet it if from a different car.The best bet is the scrapyard and find the
same model carb on another car then just get the float assembly.

can't the float be fixed? what is wrong with it?
if metal, then solder it. if plastic, some araldite. Don't wiegh it down too much although you could always adjust the height to compensate
for the extra mass by guesswork.
