Rolling road and LSD
Hi Guys,
Coming up to SVA shortly . Can anybody advise me on the do's and don'ts on the rolling road when it comes to testing brakes when a LSD is
fitted? I'm having a pre SVA check at the local MOT garage and the guy I spoke to didn't seem at all sure on the matter.
Thanks for your help.
Dave.

As long as both the wheels are spining at the same speed you should be fine but I could be wrong.
I'm not sure if the two sided of a brake test rig are jointed togeather tho.

yeah, usual confusion!
No probs on the brake tester with 2wd lsd, its the 4wd cars that have an issue.
My mot test on my XR4x4 does not include a roller brake test, as it would bugger up the centre diff. He takes it up the road and uses a decelerometer
in the passenger footwell for the test instead.

No problems SVA on V8 when tested fitted with LSD.
Examiner could tell from the screen readouts while doing the brake tests that one was fitted, proceeded to test as normal.
