Bespoke coil leads?

Does anyone know where I can get a set of standard X-flow plug leads, together with a coil - distributor lead made to measure?

My coil is only about 6"-7" from the distributor, so the standard coil lead is about 12" too long!

Just to make life harder, I'm looking for decent-quality leads...

cheers,

David

(Yes, I know it this probably should go in "electrics", but I reckoned that it was more "engine"

is it not possible to cut down your existing coil - dizzy lead? i would think its only a crimp connection! thats gotta be cheaper than buying bespoke.

Although i could be talking total crap as i have no experience at all with this sort of stuff! im kinda learning as i go alone atm!

Il take a look at my pinto lead tho if you like.

James

In my (limited) experience, some leads have rubber covers that can be pulled back to allow you to get at the connector, while others are cast as one piece.

Also, most lead cores are mixtures of wire, plastic & (sometimes) carbon - I wouldn't have a clue how to prepare that!

rgds,

David

how about trying a mini ht coil lead, they are quite short if i remember correctly as the coil was mounted to the engine. Performance versions should be available from mini sport and the like..
