Megajolt & Coil Packs

Just been down the scrappy and got my EDIS 4 and coil pack for my Megajolt project. Hundreds of cars but I could only find one with and EDIS 4, a Fiesta (L reg I think) with the coil pack and leads. Single point fuel injection one but couldn't see a crank sensor.

I then got two similar coil packs (which look identical but have a slightly different part number) off a Mondeo and an Escort.

I was going to take all three just in case and give them away but after haggling he still wanted £10 each so I had to decide which one.

I took the Fiesta one as that was with the EDIS 4 but they all looked the same and I would have preferred a newer one off a bigger engine but would there be any difference. I think the newest one was off a 'P' plate Mondeo.

He wanted £20 each for the coil packs at first.

I used to be apathetic but now I just don't care.

He used to do me 3 edis4 for a £10

Getting very hard to get hold of now. I guess thats why the newer Ms are running coil drivers.

I was working on £5 per item and I had £20 and expected to get the EDIS and 3 coil packs. In the end I had to leave 2 coil packs behind

Really patronising bloke, kept telling me how much they would be if the were new.

Been on ebay now and there are a few bits at less than I paid but I'll be interested to see where they end up.

Any ford coil pack will work with the edis, i have used both fiesta and mondeo ones. The later mondeao ones had differnt plug lead fittings .
The scrapyards seem to be getting to know that people want the edis units and coilpacks and mine now charges a tenner for a coilpack and quote new prices to me, so just make sure i have some other small parts at the same time.
