rejetting main jets on zx9 carbs

i need to enrichen my mixture a bit to account for the new exhaust. Apparently standard is just over 130, alans ran well on mine with 142s. So i thought that, now im back on my own carbs, i should do similar. However, all 8 main jets in the 2 sets of carbs i have have a very clear 155 on the side, so im totally unsure of what i should replace them with.

Could this be because alans carbs are from an zx9e, and main are all zx9c?

Any suggestions as to what i should get if the bike shop is open tomorrow?

It is noticably down on power now my carbs are back on, hestitant throughout the rev range, plus when i dip the clutch to change gear the engine 'flares up' a little by itself, like i was holding the throttle open.

Ideas?

My ZZR was jetted as factory when I started (155's). It spluttered and hesitated around 7,000rpm. So I bought a dynojet kit. Got six sets of jets, but the biggest was still 155. Rubbish. Fitted them and the needles and it was a bit better.

Then I spoke to a guy who races a Jedi with a ZZR in it. He said he had just drilled his existing jets out to 250!!!! That's 2.5mm in real measurements! But he said they might want to be a little smaller, as the hole in the casting where the fuel comes in is only 2.something mm. So he's reached or exceeded the maximum size! I'm not going to argue with him as he won his championship last year!

So I took one of the spare sets from the dyno jet kit and drilled them out to 200. (It's the only size drill bit I could get). Fitted them and magic, car goes like a bike! Need to get it set up with a lambda sensor but it'll do for now.

I still have a set of main jets, if you want I could post them down to you and you could drill them out?

Sorry Joel, just re-read your post, I might have a set of 147's if you are lucky. I'll just go and check.

I have the following spare jets.

4 x 136 Dynojet
4 x 140 Dynojet
4 x 155 Dynojet
4 x 155 Kawasaki
4 x 150 Dynojets drilled out to 170.

As an alternative, although no-one has confirmed this, I was told that these webber jets fitted bike carbs:-

the drilling idea crossed my mind just now to be honest I would do it but with the exhaust this loud its a bit difficult testing it! Worth a shot anyway though. Ive concluded i dont have enough material to make an exhaust anyway, so not sure what to do now. Ive got loads of 16g sheet, but thats not going to be easy!

Cheers for the offer, btw

I can confirm that the Weber DGV/DGAS/TLDM jets as sold by fastroadcars at 60p each fit Keihin carbs and work perfectly. My honda blackbird / Keihin VP carbs on my car have 170 DGAV main jets (as link above) in them and work fine without any problems.
