Blue smoke NOT
Well Bu**er me!
Or as a certain grumpy old git would say "I don't believe it"
After all the dramas of my engine belching blue smoke when cold, tonight this happened.
Mike (RazMan) came round and I says: "Wanna see this blue smoke?"
"Yes" Says Mike.
I start the engine and......
Yep you guessed it....
Not a trace of blue smoke!!!!!
WTF is going on?
I left the car, overnight, on ramps under the front wheels, although it had been level for about an hour before I started it.
Could this be a factor?
This is getting more baffling by the minute.
Sticky valves perhaps?
Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want!!!

Perhaps you'd overfilled? as mounted at a different angle and now all the excess oil has burnt away?
I dunno - sounds weird - but good luck! Hope it's stopped for good

Make sure that the oil breather system is working with no blockages.
If you have not over-filled it, then I would look here first.

Sump
Have you altered the sump?
Remember the dip stick measures oil in relation to the maximum height on the crank, if you alter the sump, and change the dip stick , the oil capacity
can change and the level of the oil becomes too high resulting in similar problems and oil seal leaks.
Keep the old dipstick as it will work with that block and crank.
Just a thought.

I reckon the stress of your forthcoming SVA test is making you hallucinate Brian
