early 1.8 pinto

i'm using an early 1.8 pinto 1985 version, the one with all the heaters etc on the inlet manifold and a has a three wire distributor what I need to know is there a standard ford vacuum advance distributor (single wire from coil) that will fit. the engine is getting completely rebuilt and will be running twin webbers so i won't need the ecu

I would be looking at using the distributor you already have (unless the 'other' bits have been thrown), as electronic igniton is much better overall than clockwork points ignition. But IIRC any earlier Pinto distributor will fit straight in.
