Same place as on a petrol engine . Boom Boom . Not sure it's a good idea these days as alternator outputs a pretty high but used to be wired into the cable that supplied all electrical power to the car (but not the starter lead ) Sometimes a smaller lead coming off of the battery positive terminal .
